Thank you Madame Barry for this enlightening episodes. It was really inspiring to hear the story told of the continuous struggle women have faced and especially the role the played in history. The narrative continuously sold to us younger women is that our mothers and grandmothers were submissive and almost passive, making us feel ” abnormal” for wanting more, especially aspiring to have higher education and take leadership position. You truly are a heroine, as you achieved both those things, in what seemed to have to be more difficult situation than the present. I am sure this scenario is repeated in many other African countries, I would really love to hear more of these positive stories on women’s fight for independence. Once again thank you very much for sharing this information with us. This is something I will definitely share with my daughters and nieces.
